#POKEMON SAGE GAME SOFTWARE#

Developed for computers running Microsoft Windows, it was created using the software RPG Maker with the aid of Pokémon Essentials, a set of scripts tailored to Pokémon gameplay. The game's development began in 2012, when a group of Pokémon fans from /vp/, a board on the website 4chan dedicated to Pokémon discussion, decided to collaborate on a fangame. The player, named either Simon or Sofia by default, has a friendly rival as well as a more acerbic rival who steals the friendly rival's starter Pokémon. The town the player starts in is covered in snow since the town is located up in the mountains. The villainous team(s) in the game are in no way related to the Aztec Empire or the Spanish conquistadors. It features a lush jungle to the south-west, snowy mountains to the north-west, and a huge inescapable desert to the south. Urobos is loosely based on Central and South America, with many Pokémon, though not all, being related to the real-life region. Pokémon Sage takes place in a fictional region called Urobos. The Starter Pokémon are the avian Grass-type Foliat, the goat-like Fire-type Kidling, and the reptilian Water-type Aguade. However, it includes an entirely new Pokédex.

While I do feel they will implement HA in the full game, I really want for them give to the pokemon HA.Pokémon Sage 's gameplay is standard for the Pokémon series. This caught me off guard when I first saw it and it mostly comes from the Wiki. And some do also seem to suffer from shallow movepools and odd stat distribution, resulting in some very frail pokemon. Some do have pretty good Special movesets, but they can't use them because there SpAtk is like 50 and vice-versa. What is that ? It's when a pokemon's moveset contradicts with its stats. While many do seem to have a healthy balance, some do seem to suffer from what I call the "Typhlosion Syndrome". I've said I really like all the pokemon, but I didn't mention anything about movesets, abilities and stats. We've gotten used for quite some time with Fairy and it might seem odd for some to all the sudden to play a game without it, especially those that have returned to the franchise in Gen 6 and Fairy is like second nature fro them. While the fact that ME aren't in the game doesn't bother me at all since we do have enough games with it, heck we even have a ROM hack dedicated to the entire mechanic, it's the absence of the Fairy type that might come off for some.

#POKEMON SAGE GAME UPDATE#

I feel like this demo is just to short for it's own good (seriously it SPOILERS ends before you even fight the first gym leader) and it has been like this for 3/4 years !! That's a little to much, most fan made games do tend to update there demos to still keep it fresh. A lot of them feel like they could easily be implement in the official games by GF. I love ALL the pokemon, they're on par with Uranium for my favorite fakemon dex. The demo probably has the most amount of potential I've seen in a long time in a fan made game, the environment, the story, the pokemon. It's undoubtedly clear that Pokemon Sage does have an amazing amount of potential of becoming one of the greatest fan games ever.
